Nellie’s is all about tea and everything related. Established in late 2003, our mission is to offer the highest quality teas at a good value, educate our consumers about the wonderful world of tea, and promote the culture and civility associated with having tea.
Our teas are carefully selected from a variety of suppliers, whose credentials and contacts in tea growing regions we trust implicitly. We also offer a number of our own unique blends carefully crafted in-house as well as custom blends at the request of individuals, businesses, and organizations.
We also carefully choose an array of specialty items not found in other places.
This includes accoutrements, tea service pieces, books related to tea, cards, jewelry, and unique gifts especially chosen for the tea lover. We offer a selection of teas appropriate for a beginner, a connoisseur, and anyone in between. And, if you want to learn more about tea, we’re happy to share our knowledge with you.
You can also find our teas at these local stores and cafes: Verbena Eat Right Now in South Portland; Carter's Green Market in Gorham; Isa Bistro and Sur Lie, both located in Portland, The Tea Space in Ogunquit, Maine Homestead Market in Lyman, Scarborough Farmers Market June through October, and other area venues as they occur.
